Sampling some African fare..

yesterday evening was pretty good....spoke to kaustav da for a long time. He has been telling me for quite some time to put up a homepage of my own....finally got a round to doing that. Then I went to this African Restaurant on 121st Street and Amsterdam Avenue called Massawa. It serves Ethiopian and Eritrean Cuisine. I must say it tastes so Indian!!!

The food is'nt as spicy as the usual Indian fare is, but it tastes very similar. They have their entrees with a bread called Injera ( guys..trust me on this one...it tastes just like Dosa!). Injera is maid from "teff", the smallest grain in the world. I had a dish called "Tsebhi Beghe", don't go by the name, that's not how its pronounced. I think the waitress pronounced it as "Te-bhi Buh-guh". Anyway, it tasted just like the Lamb Curry back home. I had Sapna and Dennis to give me company. I think I should be taking more advantage of my location in the Big Apple and do the things I probably won't get the opportunity elsewhere.....
